ARTISTS
1993 -
Eng Rithchandaneth was born in 1993 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She graduated from design at SETEC Institute, Phnom Penh. She took Art Classes at Sa Sa Art Projects in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She is a member of White Building Collective, a group of young artists who make short films and publish photo “Human of Phnom Penh” online photo stories. An active member of the White Building community. Recently she works for TV show and drama movies as Set Designer and Art Director. She works on Photography, film, sculpture and installation. Her works offers on economic, environment and social issue.
Eng Rithchandaneth has undertaken several residencies include Pisaot residency at Sa Sa Art Projects, Cambodian Living Arts at Vermont Studio Center and in New York City (2015), and S-AIR, Sapporo, Japan (2016). Her exhibitions include Currents – Phnom Penh Art & Urban Festival, Bassac Lane, Phnom Penh (2019); Plastic Kingdom, Meta House; Cambodian Artists’ work on Forced Marriage under Khmer Rouge, Bophana Center, Phnom Penh (2018); Kraanh Norneal, Sa Sa Art Projects, Phnom Penh (2018); Poetic Topographies, SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh (2016) and The White Building and The City, The Carol Shen Gallery, New York City (2013).
