1987 -

Tith Kanitha was born in 1987 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She graduated from interior design at Royal University of Fine Arts where she lives and works in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She is multi-passionate creative art that focus on her personal life, personal experience, memories and environment. She has freedom to make art. Kanitha is known artist who works primarily with steel wire and actress. Recently she explores more in the film.

Tith Kanitha is one of emerging Cambodian Contemporary artist and her work has been exhibited locally and internationally. Her solo exhibition include Instinct, SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh (2018); and Companions, French Cultural Center, Phnom Penh (2011). Her selected exhibition include SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s To Now, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan (2017); ASIA NOW: Paris Asian Art Fair, Paris, France (2016); Today of Yesterday: The Return, Yamamoto Gendai, Tokyo, Japan (2015); Rates of Exchange: Uncompared|Contemporary Art in Bangkok and Phnom Penh, H Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand and SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh, Cambodia (2014); and Phnom Penh Rescue Archaeology: Contemporary Art and Urban Change in Cambodia, ifa, Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany (2013).

Tith Kanitha has undertaken an artist in residency at Rijksakademie of Visual Art, Amsterdam. Recently she is director documentary short film, part of Echoes From Tomorrow, Anti-Archive. She was a research residency, FIELDS, On Attachments and Unknows, Phnom Penh (2017); artist in residency, The art Initiative Tokyo residency, Backer Foundation, Tokyo, Japan (2015); research residency, FIELDS, An Itinerant Inquiry Across the Kingdom of Cambodia; and Season of Cambodia in residence at Bose Pacia Transparent Studio, New York City, USA (2013).
