このたび個展「Holding Onto Joy」として、アーティスト Suwannee Sarakana が再び Number1Gallery へ帰ってきました。家族のなかで私たちが互いに分かち合う愛、気配り、幸福が、Sarakana を精練し、インスピレーションを与え、優しい愛に溢れる作品が生まれました。
作家はこの個展「Holding Onto Joy」で、油絵の作品を制作しました。それは彼女が自身のアイデンティティと家族や人生の経験を表現するための独自の制作スタイルです。人生の一瞬一瞬には、幸せや悲しい瞬間を含め、それぞれの価値ある意味があります。大切なこととして、あらゆるものは来ては去り、永遠に留まることはありません。ですが私たちは作品「Little Mermaid And Mother」を見るといつも、家族で分かち合った幸せや幸福な瞬間を思い出します。その作品は母と子の愛や想像力に満ちていて、もう一つの作品「Holding Onto Joy」に描かれたキャラクター風船と同じく、愛情や温かさ、思いやりを象徴しています。喜び、楽しさ、憧れを抱えた子供の想像力を表しています。私たちが優しく養い育み、決して手を離したり風船のように飛んでいってしまわないようにする必要がある、大切で壊れやすいものを、その浮かんでいる風船は表しています。

ウボンラーチャターニー県のアーティストである Suwannee Sarakana は、シラパコーン大学にて Master Degree of Fine and Applied Arts を卒業しました。コンテストで多数受賞し、多くの展示会に出展しました。近年の個展として「Love You Head To Toe」（Number1gallery、2019）、「Arms of Mother」（Art Bridge Chiang Rai Thailand、2018）を開催。参加グループ展は、River City Bangkok 'DIVAS' Women's Day（2018）、UOB Art Space, Art Stage at Expo & Convention Center, Singapore（2018）、Art Expo Malaysia（2019）。
